Preferred QualificationsPosition Summary

This new part-time position will support the Center for Food Safety’s (CFS) efforts in public relations and communication with industry members and stakeholders. The main responsibilities of this position will include: regularly updating and creating content information in our website, develop and maintain an electronic newsletter to be circulated in a regular basis to our members, develop news releases on our faculty accomplishments, develop and maintain regular posting on social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Experience writing feature and news stories for different media outlets. Knowledgeable about researching, writing strategies and editing of diverse articles. The candidate would be familiar with web content and website design and architecture. Drafting of science stories intended for social media and newsletter distribution.

Participate in the research, writing, and publishing of feature stories about our Center and our faculty for news releases and for posting in other media.
