Location: Covington, LA

Summary

The Tulane National Primate Center Facilities Services Maintenance Division is a support division that provides services for all the buildings at the Center.  This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Facilities/Maintenance shop.  Grounds team includes 550 acres which make up the South Campus Breeding Colony and North Campus.  Work includes supervising employees in order to maintain efficient, courteous, and consistent service unit, and requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

 

THIS IS AN ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL POSITION.  IF YOU ARE REQUIRED TO WORK DURING A CLOSURE, YOU MUST PROVIDE ACCURATE AND CURRENT CONTACT INFORMATION AND ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING COMMUNICATION WITH TNPRC.  FAILURE TO REPORT TO WORK WHEN REQUESTED BY SUPERVISOR OR MANAGER WILL RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION AS OUTLINED BY THE STAFF HANDBOOK.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years supervisory experience in all specific trades relevant to maintenance trades
  • Experience in maintenance trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical
