Job Description Summary

Reynolda is seeking a dedicated Digital Marketing Coordinator to support and optimize increased digital marketing and communications efforts. The Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the email marketing program and assisting with other digital marketing initiatives, including but not limited to, research and analytics, cross-channel collaboration, lead generation/list management, content creation, live streaming, and content strategy. The position is pivotal to Reynolda’s digital audience outreach and engagement.


The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple project timelines and have a keen eye for detail. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, Reynolda House Museum of American Art and Reynolda Gardens, the Coordinator is a highly organized and communicative self-starter who thrives in a culture that is creative, fast-paced, and team-oriented. This position has the opportunity to contribute to innovative marketing strategies on a team that values experimentation using data-driven decisions.

Job Description

*Please note, this is a remote, part-time (25 hours/week), 12 month commitment position.

Essential Functions:

  • Produces multiple email campaigns per month in Constant Contact for Reynolda House and Gardens to be distributed to members, friends, and other audience segments.

  • Ensures all Reynolda House and Gardens programs and events are published on their respective websites, Facebook pages and online events calendars, including the Wake Forest University and Wake the Arts calendars and state and local tourism calendars.

  • Creates and maintains social media marketing and communications content calendar for team review and approval; uses social media management platform (Hootsuite) to publish content customized for each social channel.

  • Assists with live streaming and publishing digital programs on multiple platforms.

  • Analyzes social media paid and organic performance to aid in communications evaluations and reports; tracks key digital and social media marketing engagement metrics.

  • Engages with social media followers in a timely manner and responds to social media inquiries.

  • Engages frequently with interdepartmental colleagues and third-party vendors to drive projects forward.

  • Tracks website analytics through Google Analytics; makes recommendations to assist in the launch of a new website.

  • Ensures that all digital content produced meets Reynolda’s brand standards and helps maintain the digital content production calendar as needed.

  • Assists with activities related to the launch of a new brand website to ensure all stakeholder needs and project deadlines are met.

  • Coordinates additional digital marketing activities as determined.

  • Assist Director and Visual Storyteller with other duties as determined.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.

  • One to two years of experience in digital marketing, project management, and brand content development, including written content.

  • Experience in email production, good knowledge of HTML.

  • Skilled in social media content management and excellent knowledge of all platforms and Hootsuite.

  • Ability to write for a variety of audiences in a clear, grammatically correct, and engaging tone appropriate to a range of platforms and internal and external target audiences.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong project management skills, including familiarity with project management tools.

  • Resourceful, adaptable, and focused.

  • Experience with list segmentation methods/database management.

  • Analytical mindset and critical thinker.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy.

  • Proficiency in Google Business Suite and Microsoft Office.

  • Prior knowledge in Google Analytics a plus.

  • Website CMS experience a plus (WordPress, Drupal).

  • Proficiency in image editing, video editing, and graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

  • Ability to work successfully independently and in a team environment.
