The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking a researcher with strong skills in computer science, math and neuroimaging, with particular emphasis on predictive analysis of diffusion imaging. The applicant is expected to be a skilled researcher with excellent experience in research paper writing. Methodological experience in processing diffusion MRI data and machine learning, particularly convolutional neural networks, is a necessity. The position is full time, fixed-term at the Research Assistant Professor level.

Educational Requirements

Successful candidates are expected to have a PhD in mathematics or computer science, with prior experience serving as faculty.

Qualifications and Experience

The primary duties will include collaborative research in medical image analysis of early developmental human brain MRI data. The candidate will be expected to participate in, or interact with, a variety of neurodevelopmental research projects, such as studies of normal development, Autism, or Fragile X. Strong mathematical skills, methodological experience in diffusion MRI, machine learning, convolutional neural networks are necessary.
