Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 10lbs; sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing); and intermittent (10%-50% of the time) job-related travel.

Shift

Day shift with some holidays and weekends per business needs.

Job Summary

The Enterprise Access Services Director oversees the integrated direction of processes to provide timely and accurate access to support patient care, education, research, revenue cycle and legal requirements. Through leadership abilities and knowledge of Access theory and practice, the Director will set goals and objectives for the department. The Director will also establish plans for implementation of goals to support the quality, safety, and service agenda for the Enterprise. Goals will be effectively tracked, communicated, and monitored. The Director will also focus on continuous process improvement to ensure effective and efficient utilization of resources. The Director shall strive for high levels of employee engagement, internal customer success, and patient satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent administrative and staff management skills; have the ability to lead and direct others toward goal setting and attainment, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; demonstrates strong analytical and qualitative research experience; be well organized; have exceptional communication skills (written & verbal); enjoy working independently as well as closely with their co-workers in a supportive team environment; outstanding computer skills (to include Microsoft Office); above average customer service skills; strong ability to engage and motivate others; active listening skills; and a thorough understanding of resource and employee management.

Master’s degree with experience in Healthcare Access and/or Operations preferred.
