Position Summary

The Student Health Center (SHC) at New York University (NYU) is a dynamic health care service that supports the well-being and academic success of over 60,000 students studying all over the world. The SHC near Washington Square is our main facility for medical services and houses Primary Care, Women’s Health, Medical Specialties, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy and more. This site is also home to and integrated with Counseling and Wellness, one of the most robust college mental health services in the U.S.


We are currently hiring primary care providers who want to become a part of our dynamic college health service. We have traditionally offered appointment-based primary care and urgent care. Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we are providing high quality and safe primary care through virtual visits and limited in-person appointments. Providers in the primary care department are also expected to contribute to the mission of the NYU Covid-19 Prevention and Response Team by working at our Covid-19 testing sites and providing Covid-19 case management.Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's degree in Nursing and NYS Nurse Practitioner license in appropriate speciality with prescription privileges, andRequired Experience:4 years' relevant experience in ambulatory setting including 2 years as Nurse Practitioner or an equivalent combination.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills. Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Must have CPR certification.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Willingness and ability to meet demanding and flexible work schedule.
