The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at The University of Alabama invites applications for one full-time instructor position to begin January 2021. Teaching responsibilities include four courses per semester, along with some expectation of departmental service associated with instruction and/or advising. Specific teaching assignments will depend on the expertise of the candidate hired, but experience teaching courses in both criminal justice and sociology is preferred. This position carries a three-year renewable contract. Candidates with a Master’s degree or J.D. will be considered, but a Ph.D. in a social science discipline related to the study of crime and justice is preferred.
