  • Position Description:

    Incoordination with the Chief Operating Officer, plans and manages the dailyoperations of a single clinic with a total of 20,000 annual patient visits ormore or multiple clinics with 20,000 visits or more. Responsibilities includeleading and organizing the continuous improvement of patient care services;developing, supervising and ensuring the competence of clinic staff; ensuringcompliance with accreditation standards; managing the clinic budget andefficiently using resources; and providing direct patient care and coordinatingthe care of patients with other clinics and ancillary services.  Responsible for hiring and training supportstaff, including management staff.

    Levelsof care range from basic first aid/treatment to assessment of patients,planning care, and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment measures.  Ages of patients served spans the spectrum ofthe life cycle.  Care will be directed atassessing, diagnosing, and treating human responses to perceived actual orpotential physical or psychological problems recognizing that each age grouphas unique developmental characteristics influencing the approach that shouldbe utilized in caring for these patients.

    Qualifications:

    • BA/BS degree required, MBA/MHA preferred.
    • Previous supervisory experience required.5-10 years (degree in lieu of experience may be appropriate).
    • Previous budgetary experience required.
    •  Required to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
    •  Tactful, respectful and courteous in dealing with patients, visitors, students, residents, physicians, and staff.
    •  Able to maintain effective working relationships with personnel and medical staff.
    •  Successfully completed orientation program within 90 days.
    •  Demonstrates ability to work with self-direction with minimal supervision.
    •  Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work closely with multiple teams.Previous experience with accreditation including the Joint Commission

    Working Conditions:1.Must be able to work flexible hours, shifts, holidays and weekends. 2.Tolerate busy office environment that requires constant interaction with patients, employees, students, residents, and physicians. 3.Requires prolonged walking and standing. Occasional lifting of patients sometimes over 200 pounds.4.Occasional carrying of items weighing up to 30 pounds required. 5.Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range and manual dexterity.6.Requires the ability to operate various types of office equipment, including but not limited to:Personal computer, Fax machines, Copiers, Telephones7.Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment on a daily basis.8.Must be able to work effectively both with internal and external customers in stressful situations
