Job Summary Provide assistance and guidance to faculty and research staff in the preparation, processing and submitting of research grant and contract proposals. Monitor performance relative to grant and contract awards. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Office of Sponsored Programs management and staff, faculty members, sponsor representatives. This position typically will advise and counsel: Office of Sponsored Programs management and staff, faculty members. This position will supervise: NA.Responsibilities <html><b><u>Job Duty 1 - </u></b>
Participate in proposal preparation and processing through advising faculty and staff on submission process, compliance with government regulations and Institute policy.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 2 - </u></b>
Submit proposals to granting agencies using electronic research submission systems.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 3 - </u></b>
May negotiate or coordinate negotiations of contract or grant terms and conditions.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 4 - </u></b>
Coordinate approval process as required.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 5 - </u></b>
Interact with funding agencies to ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and Institute policy.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 6 - </u></b>
Monitor non-financial suspects of post award administration of grants and contracts; update records and perform related processing.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 7 - </u></b>
Perform other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Two to three years of job related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Specialized software and regulations specific to specialty area of expertise
SKILLS
This job requires knowledge of research grant and contract administration processes and practices and use of related software applications. Skill in contract negotiations and interpretation are required as in application and interpretation of applicable regulations.
