POSITION DESCRIPTION: Vice-President of Institutional Effectiveness and Business Programs Operations

 

LOCATION: Fort Myers; responsible for all sites

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Johnson School: Supervision of program operation at the non-credit, clock hour, undergraduate, and graduate levels within the Johnson School of Business, to include faculty, scheduling of classes, accreditation, external relations, program development responsibilities, and overall promotion and growth of the school and its programs.

 

Institutional Effectiveness: Daily monitoring of KPIs related to institutional short-term, intermediate, and long-term goals. Supervision and coordination of institutional assessment, course/program assessment, and regional/programmatic accreditation reporting.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

 

  1. To promote the mission and support institutional objectives of Hodges University.
  2. To adhere to all FERPA requirements to include maintenance of all department documents, discussions, and records.
  3. To provide the highest level of professionalism and customer service to all constituents.
  4. To schedule and attend the School’s curriculum committee and ensure timely reporting to the University’s Academic Committee.
  5. To adhere to all requirements and expectations in the Faculty and Academic Policy Handbook.
  1. To recruit hire, evaluate, and supervise full-time and adjunct faculty.
  1. To supervise all faculty and staff within the School.
  1. To collaborate with faculty and the Programmatic Quality department to ensure each course is aligned with the learning objectives and that those objectives are assessed.
  1. To monitor organizational KPIs and generate progress reports to ensure that institutional revenue and assessment goals are met or exceeded To collaborate with the Office of Student Experience on course scheduling, including the annual schedule. To collaborate with the Programmatic Quality department to review course syllabi for all scheduled courses prior to the start of each session. To collaborate with the Programmatic Quality department to ensure ongoing course and program review, including a complete program review for each of the School’s programs per Programmatic Quality’s schedule, but at least every three years. To approve the scheduling of courses and assignment of faculty within the School

14.  To ensure effective programmatic assessments are completed, academic effectiveness reporting is generated, and otherwise support affirmation of regional and programmatic accreditation.

 

  1. To supervise Institutional Effectiveness and Research and, write narratives, and otherwise support regional and programmatic accreditation initiatives, including interim reports, site visits, conference attendance, etc.
  1. To conduct school/program meetings, to attend orientations and graduation ceremonies, and participate on selected University committees in accordance with University policies.
  1. To participate on the Strategic Planning and Budget Council and implement budgetary processes for effective planning and assessment. To create proposed budgets for each program and the School as a whole.
  1. To develop a robust advisory board and facilitate regular meetings.
  1. To advise key internal stakeholders, such as Admissions, the Registrar’s Office, Programmatic Quality, Marketing, and Professional Education and Training of changes within the programs and/or the corresponding careers/professions.
  1. To propose and develop new credit and non-credit bearing programs to meet market demand. To promote the University's success by active involvement in civic and professional organizations. To actively cooperate with the Office of Institutional Advancement in support of fund-raising activities. To perform other duties as assigned by the President.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Candidate is expected to hold a graduate degree in a business, management, law, or research related field and have at least five years of college level teaching experience or have equivalent significant and relevant business experience. Candidate should also have served in an administrative capacity at least at the program chair level or its equivalent in a non- educational setting. The Vice President will demonstrate a capacity for providing vision to guide future growth and program development as the market and environment change.

 

Substantial leadership experience and ability is required as is the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, administration, the general public, industry leaders, and various regulatory agencies. A terminal degree is preferred
