DescriptionDesign, execute, and analyze research activities related to objectives. These will involve field and laboratory studies as well as mathematical modeling. Prepare presentations for scientific conferences and/or prepare manuscripts for publication in the primary literature. Manage laboratory personnel to ensure study objectives are met and that all activities are within compliance (e.g., IACUC, Environmental Health and Safety, chemical inventory). Manage sample maintenance and delivery to OSU for analysis. Advise and mentor students. Attend meetings or conference calls related to the project.

QualificationsMasters Degree. Experience conducting studies (lab and/or field) with PFAS chemicals or similar. Familiar with PFAS literature and bioaccumulation, in general. Excellent skill with the R programming environment. Demonstrated experience working with students. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred: Ph.D. in related field (ecotoxicology, environmental chemistry, etc.)
Experience working with vertebrate animals including fish, lizards, birds.
Experience with NetLogo or other individual-based modeling platform. Has published peer-reviewed manuscripts.
A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
