Role and Responsibilities:

University of Miami Miller school of medicine is seeking a Part time/per Diem Staff Physician. The candidate will be fellowship trained in obstetrics with a passion for teaching and building a symbiotic relationship with the department of obstetrics and gynecology. The educator will have an opportunity to serve in an urban and diverse underserved population while practicing the full scope of family medicine.


Responsibilities:

  • Direct patient care with obstetrics both inpatient and outpatient.

  • Creation of a maternal fetal medicine curriculum for the Department of Family Medicine.

  • Teaching and precepting residents/medical students via lecture series and direct clinical care.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Board certified family physician
  • Fellowship trained in Obstetrics and Women’s Health
  • Current obstetrical privileges at UM/Jackson
  • ALSO Certified
  • BLS/ACLS Certified
  • Prior demonstrated teaching (minimum 2 years)
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
