Assistant Professor Position in BioSciences: The Department of BioSciences at Rice University (https://biosciences.rice.edu/) invites applications for one tenure-track, assistant professor position to begin July 1, 2021.

Research in the Biosciences Department at Rice University leverages quantitative approaches to study biological systems using both bottom-up and top-down experimental procedures. We welcome applications in all areas of biochemistry, microbiology, cell and developmental biology, and genetics and seek candidates whose research is synergistic with the strengths of current faculty. Thus, we encourage applicants with research in the areas of: systems and synthetic biology; microbial genetics, physiology, and ecology; and cell biology and genetics. Applicants will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in microbiology, genetics, or biochemistry, conduct high-quality research in systems and synthetic biology; microbial genetics, physiology, and ecology; and cell biology and genetics , publish papers in top journals, and present at conferences.
