Position Description:

The Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University, in Houston, Texas, is excited to announce the creation and expansion of an Operations Management group. We invite applications for two tenured positions in Operations Management to begin July 1, 2021. The appointment will be made at the rank of Associate professor or Full professor depending on the candidate’s track record. Successful candidates will have a strong research agenda and solid analytical and/or empirical skills. They should aspire to the highest standards of scholarship, professional activity, and commitment to the teaching of MBA and PhD education in your area of study. We are seeking candidates whose research interests and expertise lie in any of the quantitative areas of Operations Management.

By hiring two new faculty this year and several additional faculty members in the near future, the Operations Management group should provide an excellent work environment within a top-tier business school. Located on a beautiful campus near downtown Houston, the fourth largest city in the nation, Rice University is consistently ranked in the top 20 research universities (U.S. News and World Report). JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Operations Management or related field and have an excellent publication record, an active research program and show evidence of high quality teaching.
