Part-Time Temporary Academic Liaison - Center for Learning & Innovation

Position Summary:

While maintaining fairness, respect and honesty, the Academic Liaison performs several key functions. This individual will manage the operational tasks necessary to ensure adjustments to existing academic programs are launched effectively and efficiently. This individual manages multiple projects simultaneously to ensure that designated individuals complete all work within the time allotted. The Academic Liaison works on a team with other program development members to evaluate capacity for development work across N&G operational units, communicate challenges and risks to completion, maximize opportunities, and ensure that the resulting programs meet the expectations of learners, administrators, and faculty.In addition, the Academic Liaison Project Manager will work directly with the Director of Research to provide the market research needed to inform and improve current academic offerings.

NOTE: This position is a part-time temporary role for up to 6 months and 20-30 hours per week.

Director of Research, Strategic Program Launch

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, marketing, project management or a related field required

Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Development for Current Programs

  • Manage projects to completion within the time allocated.
  • Communicate next steps and deadlines professionally and honestly.
  • Engage interested stakeholders and generate excitement around new opportunities.
  • Evaluate capacity and communicate risks to be mitigated.
  • Collaborate with fellow SPL team members and other university leaders as needed.
  • Pursue development opportunities to stay regularly connected with PMBOK® updates.

Market Research for Current Programs

  • Collaborate with academic leaders to identify N&G programs that are not performing well and need updated.
  • Perform market research to determine the feasibility of current programs in the market and identify areas to improve the program to meet market needs.
  • Report research findings back to the academic unit.

·2-3 year’s experience in project management and/or a higher education setting

·Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel


·Effective interpersonal, organizational, writing, and research skills.

·Persistence to independently see tasks through to completion
