About the School of Social Sciences & HumanitiesThe School of Social Sciences & Humanities at Atlanta Metropolitan State College is committed to enlivening history courses and wholly engaging our students in the learning process. Our history courses provide in-depth study of issues, as well as the background needed to help students make knowledgeable decisions and rational life choices. AMSC is seeking part-time instructors in HISTORY who will play a key role in educating and supporting students.Required Qualifications Required Experience: Collegiate level history teacher with online experience.Required EducationA minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline. Teaching experience is preferred.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities • Ability to teach HISTORY courses on the collegiate level.• Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods.• Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning.• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations, etcConditions of Employment
