Job Description:

Collaborates with faculty and subject matter experts to develop and design both for-credit undergraduate and graduate level courses as well as non-credit professional development and continuing education courses, applying best practice models and learning theory. Develops instructional materials, engaging learning activities, and instructional guides. Monitors participant and instructor feedback related to achievement of learning outcomes and institutes changes or adjustments as needed.

Serves as the departmental administrator and technical expert for current learning management systems. Provides ongoing one-on-one training and technical support for faculty and students related to the current UF and UF/IFAS learning management systems. Plans and facilitates training classes and/or presents training to faculty, staff, and students related to educational technology, learning strategies, educational policy, and best practices in online education and educational technology.

Work in cooperation with the department’s Coordinator of Academic Programs to provide admissions and enrollment support to prospective students enrolling in all of the AEC e- learning programs. Communication with the University admissions office is required as well as monitoring application status. Maintain and conduct follow-up contact with potential students through electronic mail and telephone.

Interface with CALS and campus academic staff/offices regarding e-learning policies and implementation. Interface with faculty and staff at other intuitions and participate actively in professional organizations to determine new approaches and trends.

Researches new methods, evaluates relevance to current programming, and proposes utilization when appropriate.

Provide informed and relevant direction related to policy and strategic planning to facilitate growth of AEC distance education and professional development programs.

Work with the department’s communication and marketing specialist and faculty e- learning coordinator to identify target audiences for all AEC e-learning programs. Limited travel to identified recruitment events to promote all AEC e- learning programs.

Expected Salary:

$18.63 - $19.63 hourly

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants should have strong written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with faculty and prospective and current students. Fundamental understanding of marketing principles and applications for this particular program is desirable. An understanding of instructional design principles, learning theory, and instructional technology, as well as student learning processes is desired. A working knowledge of course management systems and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, and other software for instructional purposes is also important.
