Research Specialist A

Job Description Summary
The Research Specialist plans and conducts basic experiments to meet research project objectives, with close supervision. Assists in performing laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material formulation and development. Daily management of laboratory tool, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables. Closely collaborates with Post-Doctoral Researchers and Principal Investigator (PI) on experimental/clinical work set ups in accordance to established protocols.

Job Description

Responsibilities includes performing bench research, mouse colony management, genotyping using PCR, bench research and troubleshooting, cell culture and lab ordering and organization and other lab duties as necessary.

A Bachelor's degree and 0-1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Candidates with a recent Bachelor's degree should have prior lab research experience in the field of biology and/or molecular biology. Candidate should be organized and have record of good bookkeeping and organization skills. The appointment is for 2 years and renewal is contingent on funding.
