Requirements

The Clinical Research Coordinator position will support a Convalescent Plasma for Prevention Study, CSSC-001. The study is being conducted under the leadership of collaborators at Johns Hopkins University, with Georgetown University serving as one of a number of sites in this national study. The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for coordination of study implementation under the oversight of the site principal investigator, Duties include:
  • maintaining updated protocol information, manuals of operation, case report forms,
  • coordinating with regulatory team,
  • identifying recruitment sites and potential participants,
  • managing study data,
  • and maintaining day-to-day study activities.


The Clinical Research Coordinator will work directly with the study PI, IF faculty and staff, the Clinical Trial Unit research nurses and staff. This position will interact with the Georgetown Clinical Trial Office, Pharmacy, CRC, and Pharma representatives. The individual in this position must possess excellent clinical skills and function autonomously, collaborate with physicians, health team members, sponsors, patients and family members. Must possess the ability to remain calm and perform effectively in emergency situations. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively; ability to work under pressure and respond to multiple demands; and must be sensitive to confidential nature of the job.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in clinical trials research, and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team and diverse populations preferred.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work up to 7 days a week if needed.
  • Experience with infection prevention related to SARS-CoV-2 is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be able and willing to work with individuals who have been exposed to, or may have COVID-19 infection.
  • Appropriate personal preventive equipment will be provided by the study.
