Position Responsibilities

  • Assists in the design, construction, and testing of high voltage water treatment systems
    - Builds prototypes from schematic drawings and engineering instruction
    - Measures, cuts, drills, fastens materials in a workshop environment
    - Uses power tools such as table saw, miter saw, and drill press
  • Carries out water treatment experiments to collect design data or assist in research work
    - Comfortable working around high voltage
    - Able to assemble and operate various systems under specific conditions
    - Perform sample collection
  • Procures materials, parts, tools, services to perform tasks
    - Contacts providers of goods and services
    - Visits providers of goods and services
    - Maintains logs and notebooks to document testing and development of systems
Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working in a hands-on research laboratory and research workshop
  • Experience working with various materials and knowledge of their uses in fabrication
  • Capable of reading mechanical and electrical drawings

  • AS, BS, B-Tech degree with 1+ year experience or trade experience in electrical systems, plumbing and/or HVAC
  • Experience working in a hands-on research laboratory and research workshop

  • 1+ year experience or trade experience in electrical systems, plumbing and/or HVAC
