The Department of Applied Physics at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering invites applications for a full time, non-tenured, renewable faculty position, at the level of Lecturer, with a start date of September 1, 2021.

A Lecturer’s primary roles are teaching, mentoring and educational innovation, and the position may also entail some administrative work and outreach. The department offers BS and MS degrees in Applied Physics, as well as a BS degree in Physics and Mathematics.

Qualifications
We invite applicants for classroom and laboratory teaching in all areas of Applied Physics with particular emphasis on large, multi-section physics theory and laboratory courses. You should be an experienced, driven, and motivating teacher. You should have a Ph.D. in physics, applied physics or a closely related discipline and the equivalent of at least three (3) years full time experience teaching large, multi-section physics lecture and laboratory courses at university level.
