Receptionist – Counseling Services

Counseling Services at Coastal Carolina University seeks a full-time Receptionist (Administrative Specialist II).

Duties include, but are not limited to: provide first point of contact for students, faculty and staff; screen office visitors and incoming calls to determine needs and make referrals; respond to inquiries, take message, maintain office appointment calendar; perform administrative functions of Counseling Services office to include: set up and maintain confidential files for students, schedule appointments, type/proof documents, prepare clinical data and assessment reports, scan records; and other duties as assigned.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. One (1) year relevant work experience and experience in health care center administration and/or higher education is preferred. Skills in maintaining and establishing effective working relationships with students, faculty, and staff. Knowledge of general business practices; set-up files, type, and proof. Knowledge and skills in computer technology (Colleague, Titanium, Maxient, Internet). Candidate must possess strong customer service skills and the cultural competency appropriate to be able to appropriately and effectively interact with a diverse population of students, faculty and staff.
