Job Description:

York Country Day School seeks a dynamic and dedicated Full-Time Biology teacher. The selected candidate will join the faculty for the 2020-2021 school year. The Biology teacher will instruct Introductory and Advanced Biology and the potential of other science courses as needed. The teacher may be called upon to advise students or sponsor a club, as well. All teachers are expected to be involved in the life of the school and participate in school events.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess an undergraduate degree in Biology/Science Education and possess an inquiry-minded, lab-based teaching style. Previous teaching in an independent school setting, and experience with distance learning and Google Classroom is desired. Interested candidates should have expertise in an active, 21st century learning environment, and experience integrating technology into the classroom. The ideal candidate will be an excellent role model and engaging teacher for students in grades 9-12.
