Responsible for ensuring that all undergraduate students have met required prerequisites during drop/add week. Responsible for providing administrative support for academic programs to include advising students on academic policies and procedures, maintaining databases and student academic files. Assists Academic Advisor registration process during drop/add; input data into NWDRC.
Responsible for ordering all textbooks for the department, obtaining supplementary copies for instructors, and processing order forms for each course. Assists graduate students in preparing and updating Portfolio Binders. Assists with distribution of class rosters at the beginning of each semester. Responsible for requesting and coordinating annual evaluations for all Teaching Assistants and Graduate Research Assistants at the end of each semester.
Schedules and announces students’ defenses. Serves as FACET representative for department including faculty and students. Serves as backup Key Manager, backup Time/Leave representative and backup Travel Representative for the department. Perform other administrative duties as assigned.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency and two years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to follow specified guidelines to ensure accurate records for the department course schedules.
Ability to compile, review, and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Computer skills to include experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.Pay Plan This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.Schedule If not otherwise specified, schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
