Tulane Neurosciences – postdoctoral fellow

The position of postdoctoral Fellow requires the design and implementation of experimental procedures at the in vivo and in vitro level, conducting studies using standard techniques for genetic, cell and biochemical procedures. The position also requires working with small laboratory animals including mice and rats, and the writing of scientific manuscripts for publication and assistance in the preparation of grants. Additionally, the position requires assistance in the supervision of more junior colleagues including graduate students, undergraduate student workers, rotating students and research assistants. The position also requires review of pertinent scientific literature relevant to projects in the lab. The position also requires ability to multi-task, work cooperatively with others, and perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with the Tulane University Guidelines.

Qualifications

*Ph.D 

1. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
2. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
3. Highly organized and detail oriented.
4. Ability to pay attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
