Hofstra University is a dynamic community of more than 11,000 students from around the world who are dedicated to civic engagement, academic excellence and becoming leaders in their communities and their careers.Description:This position performs a full range of tasks on a senior support specialist level for the Office of Admission and is the first and main point of contact for all Enrollment Management visitors, including undergraduate and graduate admission. This position will handle a high volume of calls and office visitors, ensuring response and assistance is efficient and courteous at all times. This position will also be the primary point of contact for special group visits. Must have a clear and thorough understanding of admission standards, procedures and processes related to obtaining admission to Hofstra in order to respond to inquiries appropriately. This position will perform data entry of student records, work with transcripts and manage electronic appointments. Monitors students scheduled for campus visits and completes check-in when they arrive to campus. Support administrators with requests for reimbursements and ordering office supplies and will process and track the shipments of recruitment materials both nationally and internationally. Track expense reports as needed for department. Will provide assistance to other departments within Enrollment Management as needed. May perform other assigned duties not specifically identified above, but which require the same degree of skill and which are normally included within the above job title.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm

*Subject to bumpingQualifications:Strong interpersonal and communication skills to handle large volumes of visitors. Ability to learn and utilize department’s enrollment system to assist with student inquiries, appointment check-in and general application questions.
