Is an off-campus Community Service Agency providing skills training and peer support for adults with serious mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and/or general mental health conditions.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate claims encountering and billing processes for a Community Service Agency, including interfacing with Electronic Health Record, the Regional Behavioral Health Authority and Managed Care Organizations, ensuring processes comply with AHCCCS and CMS requirements.
  • Verify patient eligibility, build member profiles, ensure electronic client records, various reports, and claims/encounters are accurate and complete, prepare for and participate in annual audit process.
  • Prepare claims encounters in 837p file format for submission to the Regional Behavioral Health Authority and Managed Care Organizations for processing and reimbursement.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, prepare financial reports, prepare deliverable reports, re-process and resubmit claims rejections and denials. 
  • Train incoming staff members and provide continuous quality improvement training regarding accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
