Special Instructions To Applicants:

The Student Assistant for Theater reports directly to the Technical Director of Theater. This is an hourly student and is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week as scheduled by the Tech Director of Theater. Time may include nights, weekends, and or holidays if deemed necessary by the Technical Director of Theater. Work Study is preferred but not required. This position is not benefits eligible, and may be renewed on a semester by semester basis.

Job Summary:

This position is for Hourly student workers. It includes a maximum of 20 hours per week. It may include some nights and weekends

Minimum Qualifications:

Students are eligible.
Very basic knowledge of Theater.
Ability to solve problems and be multi-tasked.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to deal with students, faculty and staff in a professional manner.
Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments.
Ability to detect errors and pay close attention to detail.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with others.
Ability to promote a positive department image
Ability to follow established college policies and procedures
Assists with executing and implementing set design, lighting design, and sound designs
May performs Stage Manager and House Manager Duties as needed.
May performs clerical assistance.
Assist with staffing and managing events scheduled in the Performing Arts Center.
Assist with Sound, Lighting, Workshops, Competitions, and other community/campus activities.
May assist individual directors of drama productions during rehearsals and run of shows.

Being a full time student.
A Drama Major.
