Position Summary:

Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, incumbent plans, prioritizes, coordinates, schedules, and reviews the operation, maintenance, and repair of the Steam Plant and associated equipment, including the air conditioning and ventilating equipment. Responsible for ensuring the completion of all preventive maintenance duties and maintaining all appropriate records.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must work overtime or alternate shifts as required to meet hospital needs
  • Must possess or obtain an Unlimited Steam Plant Operator's License within 6 months of hire
  • Current State of California Driver's License
  • Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, shop drawings and manufacturers technical manuals
  • Understanding of regulatory controls and requirements of NEC, NFPA, AQMD, OSHA, and JCAHO standards
  • Minimum two years relevant experience
  • Possession of E.P.A. certification
