Job Description

This position is based in the Penn Frontotemporal Degeneration Center, part of the Department of Neurology of the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine. The purpose of this position is to coordinate observational neurodegenerative disease research protocols in patients with early-onset neurodegenerative conditions such as frontotemporal degeneration, primary progressive aphasia, movement disorders such as progressive supranuclear palsy and associated neurodegenerative diseases. The job functions include contacting patients/caregivers to schedule research visits, organizing and coordinating research visits, acquiring imaging data, performing some cognitive testing, assisting with shipment of biofluids, performing preliminary imaging analyses, and uploading and maintaining clinical and imaging databases to share data at Penn and within NIH consortium studies.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Working Conditions
Office, Library, Computer Room; Requires extensive safety training related to biofluid handling and magnetic resonance imaging research

Physical Effort
Typically sitting at a desk or table; Occasional lifting 25 lb. or less
