Administrative Coordinator with the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics will provide support to the overall department mission including the following: assist with pre and post award grant management, management and reconciliation of department E account and allocation of indirect costs, and work with diverse groups and individuals to accomplish department goals.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate of USC Grant progam or other grant programs. Experience using Assist, grants.gov, and ERA commons. Experience with pre and/or post award management.

Strong writing skills, including the ability to provide technical editing for grant proposals.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Must be team oriented and able to work with diverse groups and individuals to accomplish department goals. Able to effectively plan and organizes work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals. Able to communication effectively orally and in writing. Has strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with administrators, faculty, students, staff and department constituents. Able to appropriately handle confidential communications requiring judgment and sensitivity. Willing and able to take on new and complex tasks and to learn new applications. Able to manage several tasks and projects, solve problems, and take initiative when appropriate. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team, take direction at times, and maintain a positive working relationship with department, college, and University colleagues. Has proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and understands modern office practices, procedures, and equipment. Able to organize information systematically. Understands relevant policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
