The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry is recruiting for a full-time tenure track or non-tenure track faculty position in the Division of Comprehensive Oral Health, Periodontology program. The Division of Comprehensive Oral Health houses several disciplines including, Periodontology, Dental Hygiene, Comprehensive Dentistry, Operative Dentistry/ BioMaterials, Prosthodontics, and Endodontics. In addition to predoctoral and Dental Hygiene education, the Division has six advanced dental programs. The Division balances teaching, scholarship, patient care, research and professional service activities in the constituent disciplines. The rank, salary and responsibilities will be commensurate with training, experience and academic accomplishments. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in teaching at the pre-doctoral level; collaborate with pre-doctoral and program directors on the creative design and implementation of ongoing interactive curriculum; participate in duties consistent with school and university requirements for performance, scholarship; and participate in the Dental Faculty Practice.Educational Requirements
The candidate must have a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree, and advanced training in periodontology from a CODA accredited school.Qualifications and Experience
It is preferred that the candidate is Board-certified or Board-eligible in periodontology.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and a commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and collegiality are required. Leadership, administrative, and supervisory experiences are preferred.
