Enterprise Reporting & Departmental Systems (ERDS) provides the data warehouse and reporting platforms that campus uses to support operational business and analytics content. This is done through both application delivery and data designed for easy self-service via tools of user preference.
This position will work in the Enterprise Reporting & Departmental Systems team in support of developing and maintaining the applications and reporting from the institutional data warehouse. The position will be responsible for developing, testing, and supporting data and reports for customers across campus based on enterprise data in the ITS Data Warehouse using a variety of reporting tools. A successful candidate in this position will be able to use prescribed tools to manipulate and translate data into applications and reports for customer use. This position will present complex data structures and data models in consumable reports, and translate user requirements into consumable information.
This position will work with ERDS ETL staff to gather data from source systems and create data models for use in applications and reporting. This position will also work in determining the gap between legacy data structures and current data and design the mechanisms to display the two together seamlessly. The candidate will also work with campus users to gather requirements and test application functionality and data accuracy. This position must also adhere to ERDS processes for code testing and migration. These duties will be performed in a responsible, security-aware fashion, maintaining appropriate levels of data privacy, and will follow all ERDS quality assurance processes and complete all necessary documentation.Educational Requirements
Master’s and 1-2 years’ experience or Bachelor’s and 2-4 years’ of experience or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in data/report requirements gathering
- Data set analysis & design
- Intermediate to Advanced SQL experience
- SAS VA or Viya report development experience
- Experience using Human Resources data
- Tableau dashboard design experience
- Python experience
- Experience working in higher education environment
