Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator, Academic Programs, Boca Raton, FL.

The primary job responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following tasks:

  • Answer incoming phone/email inquiries about the programs and admission process requirements.
  • Work with the SOAEP Admission Committee, SOA Director and Graduate College staff on new student admission process.
  • Schedule and run new student phone orientations.
  • Co-plan, organize and attend recruiting events both on and off campus.
  • Prepare student program schedules (training will be provided).
  • Assist with promotional initiatives and graduation events.
  • Assist the SOAEP Associate Director with projects as requested.
  • Interface with University personnel to help accomplish the SOAEP’s goals.
  • Communicate via email, phone or in person with University personnel and people outside the University.
  • Attend career fairs and recruiting events in South Florida.
  • Assist with other matters that arise in the normal course of SOAEP activities.
  • Travel among FAU campuses occassionally.
  • Facilitate SOAEP website.
  • Co-write/edit content pertaining to the recruiting/admission process on SOAEP website.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of experience in student recruiting and/or admission process required.

Experience working with accounting students and/or in an online environment preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

Prior experience with social media networking tools preferred.

Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Must be self-starter, team player with excellent interpersonal skills - approachable, discreet, organized, goal-oriented, energetic, positive, and responsible.

$45,000 - $50,000

Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Occasional evening or Saturday participation may be required for special meetings, seminars, etc.
