Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with occasional repetitive motion (such as typing). The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects over 50 lbs. The conditions of work may involve regular exposure to radiation, intermittent exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, and occasional exposure to blood borne/airborne pathogens and combative/violent people. May also include intermittent (10%-50%) job related travel.


This position is primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 am -5:00 pm, but will be on-call 24/7 and may include some evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays per departmental needs.

Job Summary

The Interventional Radiology Operational Manager is responsible for ensuring quality patient care by providing leadership and oversight for overall patient care activities within Interventional Services. This position will ensure the highest quality and most cost-effective service of the department and will be accountable for outcomes related to the quality of patient care and services, patient experience, and associated departmental care costs. Additionally, the Manager will ensure compliance with protocols of regulatory bodies, accrediting agencies, and reimbursement agencies; oversee the operational management of interventional procedure areas including services and nursing staff; and will promote overall direction for clinical care by interfacing with physicians, staff, and other healthcare providers.

Three or more years of paid employment experience in an Interventional Services or Radiology setting. Additional degree in a business-related field and healthcare leadership or management experience preferred.
