Job Summary

You must be a current UK student to apply for this position.

Learning Center is seeking a cook to prepare food, menu plan, and shop for groceries to feed 48 preschoolers and approximately 14 staff.

We will be following the emergency regulations for child care, which include many measures for staff & child safety (masks for staff, frequent cleaning, smaller group sizes, etc.). The health & safety of our staff, children, and families is our priority.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities


  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience cooking, menu planning, and shopping for a preschool, daycare, or other school environment
  • Food manager or food handler’s certificate, negative TB test results, background check, negative COVID-19 results, and mandatory COVID-19 training (free), prior to employment. All training and tests are paid for by the employer.
