The Research Project Associate will be responsible for all facets of research and other activities related to our mission. The Research Project Associate will work directly with faculty and researchers and will have the opportunity to develop research skills with the potential for publication. The Research Project Associate should have an interest in research, gathering and analyses of data, and working in teams.

 

The Research Project Associate is responsible for all facets of research and other activities related to our mission. The Research Project Associate works directly with faculty and researchers and will have the opportunity to develop research skills with the potential for publication.


Responsibilities include:

Working directly with faculty and researchers to augment and conduct surveys in the hospital or in North Philadelphia communities, gather, prepare, and analyze data. Working with faculty in other areas of research to be determined, time permitting. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and at least six months of health-related experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

·         Prior qualitative research experience (conducting surveys, interviews, focus groups; qualitative data analysis)

·         Experience with comprehensive literature reviews and bibliographic research

·         Skills in academic writing and editing

·         Ability to find the balance between performing assigned tasks and taking initiative

·         Must be able to operate all standard office equipment and software including MS office.

·         Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

·         Must be able to independently handle assignments or small projects.

·         Must be well organized, have acute attention to detail and be able to meet agreed upon deadlines’

 

Preferred:

Prior experience with Academic Research

Community experience in North Philadelphia Area
