Requirements

Assistant Director, Admissions - Georgetown University Main Campus

The Assistant Director of Admissions shares in the responsibilities involved with the recruitment and selection of talented undergraduates. The Assistant Director's duties include:
  • interacting with prospective students, parents, high school guidance counselors, alumni & student volunteers, and faculty; strong public speaking and writing skills are required Sensitivity to the needs of differing groups of students and a commitment to a diverse student body are essential.
  • responsible for conducting frequent presentations oncampus to prospective students and their families.
  • daily management of a geographic region and assigned travel designed to attract qualified students and full participation in the application review process.


This position requires a willingness to travel and some weekend and evening time commitments. Collateral duties are assigned based on individual's strengths and interests.

Qualifications
  • Five or more years of prior admissions or related experience is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, but a Master's degree is highly preferred.
