The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Temporary Lab Assistant on the Gainesville campus. The Part-Time Temporary Lab Assistant will be responsible for maintaining and trouble-shooting instrumentation issues, preparing reagents for labs; organizing and preparing labs for instructional meetings, organizing the chemistry storeroom; supervising students in labs and grading student lab reports.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

The Part-Time Temporary Lab Assistant will:

  • Maintain and trouble shoot instrumentation
  • Reagent prep
  • Prepare Laboratories for additional sections and course offerings
  • Organize chemistry storeroom
  • Grade student lab reports
  • Supervise students in labs
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have knowledge on general laboratory safety and general undergraduate chemistry laboratory.
Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • B.S. or B.A. in Chemistry, Biology, or related field
  • Undergraduate lab experience as a student.
