$3,516 – $5,102 per month (This is a temporary, full-time, benefits eligible position expected to end on or before 8/31/2021. This is a grant funded position. Continuation of the position is contingent upon continued funding.)

Educational and Experience Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in related field. Three years of experience in related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position
Oversee contact tracing program with Texas Department of State Health Services. The Contact Tracing Program consists of teams of contact tracers from across the state that are working under the direction of SHSU in collaboration with the Texas Department of State Health Services to provide contact tracing to individuals infected with or exposed to the Coronavirus.

Primary Responsibilities
Manages the daily activities of the program, which will include but are not limited to acting as the communication point-person for the contact tracing program at Sam Houston State. Works with campus entities to design and launch a recruiting plan for contact tracers. Coordinates recruiting of contact tracers with other institutions in the Texas State University System (Lamar, Texas State and Sul Ross). Manages interview process of contact tracers. Manages university onboarding. Coordinates onboarding with Texas Department of State Health Services (TXDSHS). Responsible for trouble shooting management issues. Manages program budget and meets reporting requirements with the state. Performs complex administrative and supervisory program work. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Ability to supervise business functions. Communicates with other university departments, personnel, and other agencies.
