We provide highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools, and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative, and service goals.

Primary Purpose of Position

To design, develop, and test application solutions for the college including modules, plugins, themes, and templates for a variety of web publishing platforms. Deploy and document new and existing solutions. To provide direct technical support to assist functional users in analyzing their problems, workflows, and processes and offers appropriate recommendations.

Summary of Position Responsibilities

Design, develop and test modules/plugins, themes and templates for WordPress and other web publishing platforms. Develop scripts for cloud-based productivity applications.

Manage git repositories and documentation for all programming projects. Assist with server administration and optimization. Also assist with requirements gathering and end user support.

Minimum Education/Experience

Bachelor Degree or related information technology experience may be substituted year for year for the required education.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Knowledge of the following:
Scripting languages including PHP and Javascript
Code libraries such as JQuery and D3
Operating systems including Linux, Mac OS and Windows
Responsive web design

Experience with:
Web application development
Server administration
Plugin or module development
Theme and template development
Version control systems such as Git
Web publishing platforms such as WordPress and Drupal
Cloud productivity applications such as G Suite
