Skilled Trade Technician
The primary responsibilities of the Skilled Trades Technician are:Provide support to Facilities Services team through competent completion of daily work assignments.These assignments will include Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems related maintenance tasks.Work as liaison for after-business-hours communication between Campus personnel and Maintenance Supervision team. Accomplish additional scheduled maintenance tasks including but not limited to swimming pool maintenance, periodic equipment testing, and event set-ups.
Reports to the Director of Mechanical Systems
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Troubleshoot and/or repair mechanical systems and equipment.Assist in the completion of scheduled work assignments.Act as first responder for maintenance issues on Campus during after-hours operations.Provide quality customer service and carry-out position responsibilities as assigned with integrity.Participate as requested in committees or councils that pertain to this position.Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with Indiana Wesleyan University's mission and goals.Support the policies of the University with integrity.Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity in all facets of interaction within campus, community and personal relations.May be required to work overtime as directed by supervision.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:Supervise and direct student worker pool as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:(no more than 4-5)

·Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance related field (Mechanical Equipment -HVAC, Electrical systems, or Plumbing trades), indicating competency in assessing and repairing basic to advanced system repairs.
