The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking a PhD-prepared Tenure-Track Faculty Member with substantive research expertise and demonstrated potential for establishing a productive program of research. We are interested in creative and highly motivated individuals looking to advance their academic career at the University of Florida. We are particularly interested in individuals who can contribute to research and teaching in the following areas: biobehavioral (i.e, genomic and multi-omic) approaches to nursing care of patients with or at risk for chronic illnesses and understanding and addressing health disparities.
This position is located in Gainesville, FL. This is not a remote or online faculty position.

As part of UF Health, the University of Florida academic health center, the College of Nursing collaborates with five other health-related colleges and the UF Health family of hospitals, as well as clinical partners across the state, such as the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System. Archer Family Health Care is the college’s comprehensive nurse-managed health care center. Faculty members provide primary care and psychiatric/mental health services to underserved adults, children and families in Alachua County and surrounding areas. The College’s active faculty practice offers opportunities for interdisciplinary work and leadership in other nurse-managed practices as well.

Minimum Requirements: PhD in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications: PhD able to teach and mentor students at all levels. Post-doctoral research training preferred. Current external grant funding
