Assists members of the Enrollment Processing office of Admissions with daily office work. Once trained, this person will be expected to perform tasks independently using some degree of initiative and judgment. Should have excellent communication and customer service skills. This is a 19½ hour per week maximum, part-time student position reporting to the Enrollment Processing Supervisor. The weekly schedule will be assigned by the supervisor in conjunction with the student’s class schedule. The work schedule is subject to change between semesters or as needed.

Essential Duties

•Performs document management through the use of Banner/xtender

•Completes tasks including typing, copying, scanning, shredding, etc.

•Runs errands on campus

•Processes mail

•Make phone calls using well-defined parameters

•Acts as front desk worker and provides customer service to any visitors (minimal)

•Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications and Training

•Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours

•Must be dependable

•Must have knowledge of general office equipment

•Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs

•Must be able to use correct business English, spelling, and grammar; basic math skills

•Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with other student workers and Admission staff members

•Must be well-organized and detail-oriented

Preferred Qualifications and Training

•Demonstrates excellent written communication and interpersonal skills

•Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines

•Demonstrates ability to concurrently handle both co-/extra-curricular and curricular assignments
