Salary Information

Starting salary: $64,919 (work experience and meeting the desired qualifications listed may be considered in setting a salary above the minimum)
Pay Grade: A5

Job Summary

Coordinate a variety of educational, training, social services and other support services for the Carroll and Perry campuses. Primarily work with special populations with diminished marketable skills in order to assist them in becoming economically self-sufficient. Provide this group of students advising services to promote personal, academic, and career growth. Provide services to ensure students have adequate resources for educational opportunities.

Essential Functions

Provide services for students with difficult, complex, and complicated problems to assist in their educational process. Advise students in all phases of academic and career planning which would include but not limited to: course information, scheduling, registration, transfer requirements, articulation with other institutions, and graduation requirements.

Determine client eligibility for internal and external financial support resources as well as manage program financial support services.

Participate in program improvement and development including attending appropriate training workshops, gathering data, compiling reports. Serve on campus and/or district-wide committees.

Develop and implement program budget in cooperation with campus provost and the Perkins administrator. Ensure students have adequate supplies, including course materials and PPE.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, education, social work, sociology, psychology, or related field.

Two years of Community College experience.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to plan, organize and manage time.

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.

Knowledge of current software applications.

Desired Qualifications

Two years of management experience or related.

Two years of experience in case management, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, social work, advising, assessment, or related.

Experience at a rural community college.

Knowledgeable about grants and other funding sources in program development.

Knowledge of vocational education and transfer course content.

Bilingual proficiency.

Knowledge of counseling skills and techniques.

Knowledge of local human services system.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, day hours.
