Classroom and Remote Instruction Technology Specialist Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 202008175701 Full Time 8AM - 5PM Commensurate with Experience Position Information The Classroom and Remote Instruction Technology Specialist serves on a team that supports and manages use of all instructional technology services for general academic course activity. Key areas of responsibility include planning, scheduling, and inventory management of the instructional technology A/V (audio/visual) equipment installed in campus classrooms with an emphasis on applications and systems that support remote and hybrid instruction. Scheduling will include oversight of a student workforce to deliver A/V services and provide in-person support for campus instructors. Application support will focus on maintaining custom campus configurations with digital asset management and video conferencing systems. The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $108,500, however it is currently budgeted at a maximum annual salary of $68,400 (1st quartile of range). Licenses License Requirement Must possess or obtain a Valid CA Driver's License in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles in order to drive either University-owned vehicle or personal vehicle to various sites on UCR's general campus as well as off campus sites (e.g. Palm Desert campus). Required
Experience Experience Requirement 4 - 7 years of related experience. Required Experience working in a higher education environment. Preferred Experience with DAMS (Digital Asset Management Systems). Preferred Experience with virtual meeting systems such as YuJa, MediaSite, Zoom, Teams, and Google services. Preferred

Knowledge of intellectual property (IP) restrictions and skill to ensure that media meets IP requirements.
Ability to assess campus or institutional needs for AV IT technology products and design services to meet those needs.
Thorough understanding of post-production processes including internet-based media distribution solutions.
