Job Description

This position provides compliance observation and management for college construction projects, as required by NRS 338.01165 (passed in the 2019 legislative session) and NAC338. Responsibilities will include ensuring compliance of the Apprenticeship Utilization Act and Prevailing Wage. This position also provides compliance verification that projects meet SPWD and CSN standards, ensures various safety standards are followed (i.e. OSHA, DAQ, Mechanical Compliance, etc.), and is responsible for tracking and maintaining permits, applications, and filings as required for the noted regulatory and safety standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university AND 10 years related professional experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree the legal or construction industry
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in construction, legal field or compliance.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective knowledge of construction, safety, and contracts.
  • Ability to manage and organize multiple regulatory filings, renewal and application schedules and deadlines.
  • Experience in project and time management.
  • Computer knowledge must include software commonly used in business (Microsoft Office, project scheduling programs, etc.).
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements as they relate to construction projects.
  • Ability to communicate verbally in Spanish is preferable.
  • Ability to effectively work in a diverse, multicultural student and employee population.
