Brief statement of duties:

Brief statement of duties

Develop and execute a variety of marketing initiatives, projects and tactics, with a special emphasis on marketing and promoting departments and centers on NMU’s campus.

Assist with identifying and prioritizing marketing needs, developing marketing collateral, and providing exceptional service to University Marketing and Communications’ clients.

Minimum qualifications:

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Discipline/degree area

Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or closely related field

Required specialized training/certifications

Required minimum work experience

One year full-time experience or equivalent working in marketing or a closely related field.

Knowledge, skills, abilities or attributes required for satisfactory performance of the position duties

Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of graphic design principles.
Content creation skills.
Ability to manage social media or web pages.
Ability to respond to quickly changing priorities.

3) To identify, plan, and support activities that will encourage, promote, and recognize diversity on campus.
4) To evaluate the effectiveness of the Committee’s efforts and make adjustments to continually improve, including if necessary, recommending changes to the Committee’s charge.
5) To direct the President’s attention to issues regarding diversity on campus and in the surrounding communities.
6) To submit a report that enumerates and evaluates the Committee’s activities and makes recommendations, including recommendations regarding resource allocation, to the President by June 1 each year.
