Position Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for the clinical aspect of patient care including phone and walk-in triage. Assists with procedures, patient education, outpatient and post hospital discharge follow-up including coordinating home care, hospice, equipment, physical and occupational therapy. The nurse incorporates the psycho-motor and age appropriate cognitive skills of the patient/family/significant other utilizing knowledge of patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

Salary Range:

Minimum Midpoint Maximum

Hourly Rate $48.41 $57.44 $66.46

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Current California RN license
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • 2 years experience in cardiac nursing
  • Must know advanced arrhythmia analysis and heart failure management
  • Previous experience working with patients with arrhythmia and heart failure
  • Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Minimum 1 year experience working as a RN in an outpatient Cardiology clinic or inpatient care unit with heavy cardiology patient population (ICU, SSU, CCU,etc.)
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

    Licenses and Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support(Required)
  • Basic Life Support(Required)

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
  • Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
  • Experienced in Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) management and monitoring
  • Experience working as a RN in an outpatient Cardiology clinic
