Under the direction of the Director of Institutional Research and Assessment, the Research Assistant is responsible for entering data, maintaining the Institutional Research and Assessment webpages and managing the day to day operation of the office.Scope of Responsibilities
Responsibilities include completing internal and external reports, entering data, contacting internal department personnel, managing the office, and maintaining current information on the webpages.Essential Job Functions
•Assist in the maintenance of institutional database including data which are collected from the various units of the university
•Coordinate training sessions for faculty and staff members
•Complete all reports, surveys, questionnaires, and requests made to the office using pre-collected data
•Updates, publishes, and disseminate a variety of print and electronic statistical publication to the department’s webpage
•Maintain a calendar of expected reporting dates, receive, pursue, and route information to and from appropriate units as necessary, and make necessary in-house communications regarding data quality
•Assist the Director in completing research studies on various aspects of the university
•Manage the day to day operation of the office
•Other duties as assigned by the DirectorQualifications
•Bachelor’s degree preferably in a discipline related to business, technology, information systems, quantitative analysis, social sciences, or the equivalent and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training or
•Master’s degree preferable in a discipline related to technology, information systems, quantitative analysis, social sciences, or the equivalent and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training.
•Prior experience with or willingness to learn Finalsite, Banner, and Argos systems.
•Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) is preferred
•Willingness to learn SQL programming
•Demonstrate interpersonal skills involving data analysis including customer service, analytical thinking, active-listening, and problem-solving.Licensing and Certifications
